Today, I would like to talk about the entertainment industry. But in order to do that, we must first define what entertainment actually is. Now... Most people already know the definition, but just in case, I will state it here.
1. the act of entertaining; agreeable occupation for the mind; diversion; amusement: Solving the daily crossword puzzle is an entertainment for many.
The most important thing to understand about entertainment is that it is something that diverts you away from something else. If you are an adult and you have kids, then you surely can relate. If you have something important to do and don't want to be "bothered" by the kids, then you will have to come up with something to "entertain" them while you do what you need to do.
So this then begs the question, what are sports, movies, tell-lies-vision shows, and even radio shows diverting us away from? The things that are happening around us? Our own terrible reality? What the government is doing? I talked about in my Federal Reserve article about how the Unconstitutional Federal Reserve Act was signed into existence while few people were paying attention.
Even pharmaceutical drugs work by giving your immune system something else to worry about, and distracting it away from the disease that you have. And when your immune system becomes less concerned with the primary disease, the symptoms (which are often your body's way of alerting you of your sickness) will go away. Unfortunately, you often get side effects (the symptoms of the other ailments that you have gotten from the drug).
Is there a faction of people who want to keep us "entertained" while they go about their business? Is there a faction of people who want to divert us away from the reality that is going on around us? Does someone want to distract us away from the symptoms of our lives?
Listen, entertainment can be a beautiful thing. And it can be beneficial in some cases if you are a conscious watcher. And I'm certainly not trying to stop anyone from having fun. I'm just trying to stimulate thought.
Moving right along... One of the most important constituents of entertainment today is Hollywood. Hollywood was instrumental in making us pay our taxes. But beyond that, it has been instrumental in programming the way that we think! And I will get to that in a moment. But first...
Where does the name Hollywood come from? Hollywood is simply in reference to the wood on a Holly tree. So what is a Holly tree? Well... the Holly tree is a tree like all the others. But it has deeper meaning in the occult. Holly is associated with the death and rebirth symbolism of winter. It is associated with Christmas (as the Christmas tree is a Holly tree). It also symbolizes holiness, material gain, physical revenge, immortality, beauty, consecration, health, goodwill and peace. It is used ritually to aid a person's ability to cope with death, and to ease their sleep with peaceful dreams.
Hmmmmm.... aid a persons ability to "cope with death", and to "ease their sleep" with peaceful dreams? Sounds like the induction "peaceful suffering" to me. Putting people in a state of peaceful suffering has always been important to rulers around the world. You see... Angry people revolt. Peaceful people don’t. And what better way to induce a peaceful dream state amongst the masses than to use Holly wood?
The magic wand, like that of Harry Potter (for example) was made from Holly wood. And a classic example of a magic wand is a conductor, which uses his wand and directs his orchestra to do as he pleases. Like mass hypnosis... the band will move and sway with his every movement as if a spell has been cast upon them. Are we under the influence of Holly Wood?
Now listen, I'm not trying to spook anyone out. I realize that rituals aren't being performed on you whenever you go to the theatre or watch TV. I am only speaking symbolically. However, there is one thing that can't be denied. And that is Hollywood programming. You see, what you see on screen is very important. There is no such thing as “Just entertainment.”
And if you don't believe me, research the Werther Effect. Also realize that companies pay celebrities millions of dollars to promote their product, knowing that people will go out and buy those products just because the celebrity used the products in a commercial (when half the time the celebrities don't even use the product themselves).
In the late 20's sound was introduced into the American Film Industry. Shortly after that, a lot of controversial films (which included things like infidelity, drug use, interracial mixing, abortion, etc.) hit the screens. These films enraged censorship boards and religious institutions. Eventually, the U.S. government would even threaten to take over film censorship (claiming that bad movies would create bad behavior). This led to the motion picture industry adopting a production code in February of 1930.
This code (administered by the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America - MPPDA Hays Office) was a self imposed content guideline determining what types of material were and were not allowed to be seen in movies. This code would govern the portrayals of sex, violence, justice and morality. There was a lot of interesting stipulations in this code. I won't get into all of them, but I will highlight and paraphrase a few that I believe to be relevant to this article.
All authority figures must be respected.
Clergymen and can never be portrayed as villainous or comedic characters.
Politicians, police officers, and judges must always be good people. If any of them are portrayed as villains, it must be made clear that they are the exception to the rule.
Good must always win over evil in the end. Characters can act immoral or be criminals as long as the crimes don't elicit sympathy, and as long as they are punished by the end of the movie.
This code of production, in actuality was a code of indoctrination. I have often seen the results from it.
What? You say he was framed? You gotta be kiddin me! The Police would never do that!
What? You can't say that about the president! Why? Because.... He is the President (for crying out loud)!!!
What? He would never do that. He is a man of God!
What?! Are you actually going to open your mouth and imply that our government would be involved in such a cover-up?
Hmmm.... under the "spell" of Holly wood? Maybe. Statements like the above (which were used in NAZI Germany by many ignorant, trusting citizens), are the reason why criminals in high places can do what they do.
But nevertheless, the most devastating of all of the phrases that I hear is the following.
"Don't worry... it'll all work out"
Question: Why will it work out? Think about that.
Moving right along... By 1968, the Production Code system was ditched and replaced by the G/PG/R/NC-17 rating system. But yet and still, a lot of the remnants of this code still exist to this day. One of the main themes being... and they lived happily ever after.
Aint it funny how in these movies, no matter how big and strong the villain is, no matter how much the good guys are outnumbered, out classed, out gunned, no matter how inferior the heroes are (even if the enemies are technologically advanced Aliens who built planet earth 100,000 years ago and are now coming back to end their experiment), the good guys always win in the end?
With 5 minutes left in the movie, the villain will slip on a banana peel (that was left out by a careless child), fall and split his head on the corner of the coffee table and perish. Or maybe with 10 minutes left, the humans will discover that the aliens can't stand Kool-Aid, and massive doses will be made at the last second to win the battle and everyone will live happily ever after in the end (as well as the people who sell Kool-Aid because their sales go up 30% after the movie release).
These movies can be great to watch! But they are devastating to our psychological state. They put us in a dream world that does not exist.
All of us good guys have fallen for the nonsense at some point in our lives. Maybe you saw the signs, ignored them and got into that bad relationship while thinking, "Surely he/she won't take advantage of me." Maybe you got involved in a business with that person/family member who you knew was shadey/shakey while thinking it will work out in the end, because... I'm nice, and this is a nice idea. Maybe you gave that shade tree mechanic a down payment, thinking that he/she would come back and fix your car the next day. YOU KNEW IT WAS STUPIFIED WHEN YOU DID IT! But you were just trying to help someone out.
You ended up getting played, and feeling betrayed. Deep down inside you felt like the story didn’t end right. But in actuality, it did! It ended just the way that it was supposed to! It’s a cold game out there. And if you don’t know how to play it, you lose. I'm not trying to keep you from being nice, but I just want to give you a reality check. Many of us walk around thinking that our lives will turn out good... because we are good.
Often times in this life, the bad guys win. Not because they are bad, but because they do what it takes to win! They study business, law, and anything else they can study to get an edge. They aren’t afraid to be the bad guy, when it is good for business. They don’t undercharge for, or give services away for free. They will take advantage of people dumb enough to let them take advantage of them. They don’t live with certain delusions, like...
If I go to the polls, pay my taxes, and fight for my country, then the government will take good care of me.
If I go above and beyond the call of duty, make sacrifices and display the "insert your company here" way, that I will be recognized, rewarded and promoted.
If I go to Sunday school, donate to charity, and pledge my allegiance that the force of goodness will give me a good life.
What's interesting about the fact that people believe these things is that they believe them... IN SPITE OF THEIR OWN PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES. People have gotten screwed over by their jobs, their spouses, the government and anybody else who you can think of, yet they still believe this lie. Could it be the spell cast, from the Holly wood?
I’m not telling you not to do the above actions. A lot of people have done some of these things and been successful! And I’m certainly not telling you to be evil. But let’s just keep it real. Generally speaking, if the above three statements were really true, would not the world be a totally different place to live in? These things may be good, but they don’t ensure success! They just ensure that you are not a threat to the elitists!!
The truth of the matter is that people act out what they see and hear. Just like a child will act out what his/her parents do. And the elitists who control what we see and hear are very well aware of this.
You see... In the movies, people have torrid affairs, but no one ever gets pregnant, or catches AIDS. And in many cases, they won’t even lose their spouse.
In the movies, people smoke cigarettes and cigars, but you never see them die of lung cancer in the end.
In the movies, the nice guy always gets the beautiful girl... and the nice girl always ends up with the rich, handsome man (or even the superhero).
But unfortunately, we live in the real world. And when we act out what we see on screen, we don't get the happy ending that those movie stars get. People die everyday of unnecessary diseases. Nice guys constantly finish last. Women go their whole lives kissing frogs because subconsciously, they are under the impression that they will turn into princes (only to keep coming up with frogs). We play out these false scripts only to get old and find out that we have been left out of the American “Dream.”
I have stated everything that I said for a reason (that you have probably deciphered by now). In working with people in the past, and just observing how people live their lives, I have noticed a disturbing trend. And this trend is that people think their life is going to turn out fine, even when they aren't performing the actions to make their life turn out fine. I've sat with a lot of couples and tried to convince them to implement a certain strategy. They agreed with what I was telling them, but they didn't have a sense of urgency.
I have seen people who were in financial shambles, with no way out in site (outside of taking ACTION and making lifestyle CHANGES). Yet after looking at all of this on paper, they didn't seem to be worried at all, and they would often say to me, "It will all work out." or even, "God will work it all out."
By the way... religious institutions also stand in tandem with Hollywood promoting this message that everything will turn out good, if you are good. But that is a different discussion for a different day. Now... back to the article.
And I would think to myself, "What force is making you think this?" I also stayed in the business long enough to tune in later on and find out that it didn't work out for them, and now they are in even bigger trouble. Very sad, and not a pretty site.
So... I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I will have to be the bearer of bad news. If you think that your life is going to work out, and that everything is going to be ok, then I'm here to tell you this. It's not! Everything is not going to "work out" in your life, unless YOU MAKE it work out.
You have to take control of your life, and make it work. This is in regard to personal finance and life in general. You need to access your situation, and if it isn’t leading to “and they lived happily ever after,” then you need to make changes to it. If you’ve got more money going out than coming in, then you need to do something about it. And you probably know what you have to do (sell that expensive car and get a more economical one, move into a smaller place, cut back on cable, etc).
No mysterious force of goodness is going to make your situation work out. That evil banker is not going to slip on some marbles, and press the red button that deletes your debt and leaves you with money for retirement!
Don’t grow old wondering why things turned out the way they did. Turn them out the way you like.
So until next time,
