One day……. John`s family was having a barbecue. Suddenly, while they were inside eating, their dog jumped off the house and landed on the grill. He burned up and died shortly after (as the man had forgotten to put out the fire). When John went outside and found his dog cooked and dead on the grill, he was very hurt and very angry. He ran out onto the front porch, threw his arms up in the air and scream out, “WHY HAVE THOU FORSAKEN ME?” An old black woman walked by (on her way back from church) and said, “Son,…….. lean not to your own understanding.. and in all your ways acknowledge Him, and HE WILL.. direct your path”
The man told her to shut up so she walked off.
Later on… A strange looking man came running and stumbled into the driveway. John ran out to the man and asked him.. “What is wrong?” The man said, “I am about to starve to death.” John said, “OH, well come inside and eat with us… we have Chicken, Ribs, corn, mac & cheese, jello, cornbread and greens” The man looked up and said, “Sir… you can`t help me” John said, “Yes I can.. what do you need.. medication? I`m very rich. I can buy whatever you need”.. The man said, “Sir.. you can`t help me” John asked the man, ” Why not?” The man said, “The doctor told me that I have a very rare disease, and the medication I need is on back-order because they never need it. The only type of food I can eat is dog meat!”
WITH TEARS….. IN… HIS EYES!… THE MAN WENT BACK!!!! Got the dog and brought it to the man, spread some HICKORY FLAVORED sauce on it… and served it to him. The homeless man later on became a preacher.
